Dar’shun Kendrick was born in Atlanta, GA, and raised in Decatur, GA by her 2 entrepreneurial parents. She has a personal mission of closing the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurship for women founders and founders of color. In order to make this happen, companies must SCALE and GROW and many times raise capital from investors to make this happen.

Shombraya (Kaag fellow)

Shombraya Goodman is a 3L at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, who lives by two philosophies. The first philosophy is to know more about the world today than yesterday, and the second philosophy is to lessen the sufferings of others. She is from Cleveland, OH and went to The Ohio State University. She majored in Actuarial Science and minored in Economics and Statistics. Before law school she was an actuarial analyst, basically a math nerd and fortune teller. The reason she came to law school is because she is passionate about helping others and wants to serve and advocate for them.

La’ Toya Richardson was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to parents with corporate backgrounds. She has over 15 years experience of working at top law firms throughout New York City, where she was able to utilize her love of the law and passion for helping people. Her past work experience has also helped enhance her personal skills and enables her to work well with different generations and people from all walks of life.

Troy (Contract Associate)

Troy Refuge is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Refuge holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Houston, Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Houston Baptist University and a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law. Troy has negotiated commercial & residential real estate purchase, sale and lease deals for clients, as a real estate broker and attorney over the past 20+ years and 10+ years, respectively. Additionally, as a closing attorney and real estate advisor, Troy enjoys underwriting deals and helping investors & users to focus on their key requirements, which ultimately allows principals to consummate deals, in furtherance of their respective financial goals.
Troy enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Channelle, and participating as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, serving as a member of the Mableton Improvement Coalition’s Zoning Committee and participating in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
